Number 59, and 60. Loughrigg Fell is the western boundary
of the vallies of Ambleside and Rydal. There is no hill of a
moderate height in the neighbourhood of Ambleside, that
furnishes such a variety of singular scenes as Loughrigg
Fell. A fine ascent to it is from Clappersgate, leaving the
pubic road at No.7, in this work. ...
